Please make sure to have all the essentials available in the event of power outages. Starting February 18th the Massanetta Springs Road improvement project will officially begin. Phase 1 of this project includes closing a section of Massanetta Springs Road just south of Forest Oaks Lane to approximately 300’ south of the Preston Lake main entrance. The road closure is necessary to accomplish the cut and fill required by the new road design and install waterline. Phase 1 of this project is expected conclude in June and we anticipate the entire project will be complete by the end of September, 2019. There is snow in the forecast this weekend. Forecasts differ on expected totals, but at least 3 inches are expected. Please make sure you have necessities to last a few days. As a reminder, snow removal does not begin until at least 2 inches has accumulated. If the snowfall is under 10 inches, removal begins once the storm is over. Private roads cannot be treated or plowed until public roads have been plowed or treated by VDOT at least once. As evening falls and the temperatures drop, be aware of ice forming, and remember many ice melting chemicals don't work very well below 30 degrees. Please be patient and cautious if you must leave your homes. Also please be kind to the plow staff as this will likely be a long, challenging weekend for them. 2 months 6 days ago.

Have you switched from AC to heat? Warm things up even more by making sure your fans are rotating the correct way for maximum efficiency. In the summer, ceiling fan blades should rotate in a counterclockwise or "forward" direction to create cool downward airflow.
